To support this development, SAA is the only UK based software vendor to have successfully passed the eBusinessReady™ industry neutral software compliance and interoperability testing programme, under joint partnership of GS1 US and Drummond Group Inc. (DGI), to enable vertical and horizontal interoperability across the global supply chain.

Our UK-specific expertise and exclusivity has provided SAA with the opportunity to play a major role in supporting UK AS2 initiatives that are currently being rolled out in the grocery, food service and other industry supply chain communities. Alexandra plc is a multinational supplier of workplace clothing dedicated to innovative garment design, providing clients with top quality garments and the highest level of service and support.

Alexandra selected SAA's REIMS Open Transaction Server (OTS) as a result of pressure to improve electronic B2B exchanges and, in particular, to implement the AS2 secure standard. REIMS OTS provided Alexandra with a generic e-business solution with the inherent flexibility to handle a wide variety of B2B communications, complementing their existing electronic exchanges and providing the facility to introduce new methods based upon Internet technologies.

By implementing the REIMS B2B Framework Module V5RE, Alexandra now has full AS2 capability to provide enhanced secure communications with trading partners which has led to overall improvement in the efficiency of business processes.
