REIMS Interoperability Server extends the functionality of the Secure Commerce Gateway through additional capability for enterprise information management.

REIMS Interoperability Server Architecture REIMS Interoperability Server provides enterprise level e-business functionality and management systems. It enables your organisation to use the open standards of the Internet with your existing IT and web infrastructure to enhance inter-business communications and integration.

For business interoperability to be successful it needs to support the existing environment and future strategic technologies - that's what REIMS Interoperability Server has been designed to do. 1. Communications The support for both Internet and Web Services standard protocols and traditional communications methods provides your organisation with open communications and the flexibility to exchange any type of business information across your enterprise boundaries. In facilitating automated communications, concurrency and scalability, REIMS Interoperability Server supports enterprise level service through the Open Communications Server. 2. B2B Transactions With XML fast becoming the Internet standard for document exchange, REIMS Interoperability Server provides the intelligence to process XML, in addition to Database, EDI, CSV (Spreadsheet) and Object content types. This delivers your organisation with the ability to utilise traditional methods of data interchange and benefit from the new Internet technologies. The REIMS Open Transaction Server (OTS) supports all of these transaction and content types.

3. Enterprise Application Integration (EAI)
REIMS Interoperability Server meets requirements for Enterprise Application Integration. This includes the flexible configuration of application interfaces, end-to-end auditing and the processing of Business Rules to support the intelligent online routing of information between applications. The EAI and data synchronisation features of REIMS are supported by the REIMS Open Integration Server (OIS).

4. Community Management
Using the REIMS Interoperability Server your organisation can configure and manage virtual communities of suppliers, customers and business partners. REIMS Interoperability Server also enables the rapid broadcast of global updates throughout your community through the Open Transaction Mailbox (OTM) module.

5. Online Supply Chain Applications
The REIMS Online Supply Chain (OLC) range of applications, including online ordering, is available as a plug-in to the REIMS Interoperability Server. This delivers the flexibility to support the complete buyer and seller cycle for MRO items, to support your specific industry requirements or to act as a composite application to your main ERP systems.

6. Security
The multi-layered security services provide Internet standard security, protecting the integrity of business critical information and your internal information systems. Features include user authentication, encryption, digital signatures and access control. The REIMS Secure Community Server (SCS) is used to deliver the appropriate level of security for the specific requirements of organisation-to-organisation exchange.

The Secure Community Server module uses private encryption keys and X.509 certificates for Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol communication between itself and a client hosting the Resource Centre. It also provides security authentication information for REIMS Products using Crypto Server(s) to communicate securely between client and remote host.

7. Process Automation and Management
In order to augment interoperability with collaborative capability, REIMS facilitates the entry of Business Rules to control the processing of documents in an intelligent way. The process can be internal to the organisation or include a mixture of internal and external processes as defined within the REIMS Open Process Server (OPS).

The REIMS Interoperability Server contains the tools to allow the collaborative processes to be defined and has the capability to monitor and totally automate business-to-business communication.

Virtual Control System (VCS)
The VCS provides the management and monitor console through a browser interface for REIMS applications registered with the REIMS workflow engine. Through VCS, REIMS services can be initiated, such as system events and audit system enquiries, and consists of modules which combine to deliver enterprise services in support of advanced B2B and integration requirements.
