REIMS Secure Commerce Gateway
REIMS Secure Commerce Gateway can be deployed within your application environment to deliver secure and controlled standards-based business-to-business (B2B) integration.
REIMS Secure Commerce Gateway has been designed as a functionally rich solution to manage communications between an organisation and its business community using the most secure methods on the market today.
The requirement is the capability to manage communications with a number of diverse communities in a secure manner combined with a practical approach to deliver flexibility in a multi-channel, multi-content, multi-integration standard and multi-security model environment.
REIMS Secure Commerce Gateway:
- Supports the implementation of secure commerce across a spectrum of requirements and in particular, delivers a system that is designed to be legislative and regulatory compliant
- Conforms to the current range of requirements for industry frameworks such as AS2, BACSTEL-IP and e-GIF and supports a combination of hardware and software security
- Supports formal transaction control and management with audit trail, version control, change management, resilience plus session and periodic reconciliation
- Provides an extensible architecture based upon our REIMS Open Services Server that delivers a method of defining both Web Services and non-Web Services to the system that is simple to use and also understands and de-mystifies Service Orientated Architecture (SOA). In addition, these Open Services are then available for use and re-use by the system automation modules such as the Open Process Server (OPS) Process Automation module and the Open Integration Server (OIS) Process Integration module
- The extensible architecture and proven framework support means that any additional specialist or project specific transaction content type or standard, communications, security, conformance or compliance requirements for B2B, can be developed efficiently and added to the standard product and is therefore a genuine long term solution.

Proven Connectivity and Flexibility
The appropriateness of REIMS as a long-term secure B2B solution is proven because the REIMS Secure Commerce Gateway delivers significant approvals and accreditations. REIMS is the only product on the market that is able to combine multiple security models so that the appropriate levels can be used to meet the business requirement. These include software security standards of AS2, hardware standards introduced in the new BACSTEL-IP connections and the government secure standards through the Government Gateway options.
REIMS Secure Commerce Gateway complies with the requirements for the new BACSTEL-IP connection and includes a sophisticated business process management tool to cater for the authorisation and approval process within the larger organisation and support for hardware security for the ultimate secure exchange infrastructure. |

Certified by the HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC)
for the exchange of PAYE forms, REIMS Secure Commerce Gateway is
compliant with the requirements for both generic flat file (GFF)
and EDI formats, via either a traditional VAN or a direct connection
to the HMRC system, or alternatively via the e-GIF XML format using
the Government Gateway connection.

Various standards bodies define and ratify frameworks for secure business-to-business communication. These frameworks provide a formal and standardised capability to exchange XML, EDI and other content types. The AS2 standard is being adopted by some organisations to implement EDI over the Internet to replace traditional EDI. REIMS Secure Commerce Gateway supports all of these frameworks.

Traditional EDI includes Edifact, Tradacoms
and X12 standards over the Value Added Networks (VANs) such as GXS
(Tradanet, EDI*Express and IE), BT EDI*Net and EasyLink. The communications

connectivity is also supported through various means for leased
line or simple dial up. Internet connectivity to Value Added
Networks (VANs), thereby eliminating legacy infrastructures such

REIMS Secure Commerce Gateway fully supports informal standards such as spreadsheets and flat files and their exchange can be fully automated. Both spreadsheets and flat files can be mapped into any required applications' interface format. However, a full audit trail can still be maintained when using informal standards so that the business assurance of electronic transactions is still achieved.

Virtual Control System (VCS)
To provide overall management and control of REIMS Secure Commerce Gateway, it is shipped with the Virtual Control System (VCS). VCS provides the Management Console through a browser interface for REIMS applications.
Through VCS, REIMS services can be initiated, such as system events and audit system enquiries.
VCS consists of a number of modules which combine to deliver enterprise services in support of advanced B2B and secure integration requirements.
